Flight Line Support Crew Chief C Munitions Flight Line Support

As Crew Chief, charged with management responsibility for crew of six personnel.  Performed scheduling and comprehensive oversight of crew.  Delivered coaching and counseling as well as authoring and administering performance reviews.  Tasked with formulating accounting processes and overseeing inventories of materials, including munitions reconciliation and aircraft training assets, valued at $6MM. 

 

Served as intermediary between Munitions Flight and three flying squadrons of 73 aircraft and 25 different munitions types.  Ensured serviceability of 45 MHU-10 and 105 MHU-141 trailers, 18 Linkless Ammunition Loading Systems (LALS) and large numbers of other munitions support equipment.

 

Played key role in preparation of materials for worldwide deployment.  Trailers, munitions and other gear were inspected prior to deployment, with a focus on serviceability and validating configuration.  Following this, trailers and support equipment were stacked in readiness for movement.  Paid special attention to and assured sound maintenance practices were followed, particularly as they concerned explosive safety programs and Environmental Protection Agency hazardous waste disposal guidelines.  Additionally, served in a liaison role for Physical Training and as a Primary Composite Tool Kit Monitor.

 

Of note, in this assignment was one of two Munitions technicians to go up to the 2006 Mesa Fury supporting eight fighter jets contingency operations to ensure compliance C 20 flight inspections, 16 aim-9m/l, aim-9/x missile, and all MJU 7 flare expenditure and reconciliation.
