City of San Jose, CA Nitrification Channel Aeration System Improvements

         Responsible for concept and structural design of pipe support system in the existing nitrification basin and walkway platforms on existing channels; timed successful completion of project, adhering to time-critical budgets and schedule.

 

City of Santa Monica, CA Charnock Well Field Restoration Project

         Managed all layout and structural design for three structures in the Arcadia site Filter Complex, Decarbonator, and Washwater Equalization Basin, along with collaborating with cross-functional teams for all plant concrete structures.

 

Encina Wastewater Authority, Carlsbad, CA Phase V Expansion

         Conceptualized and performed structural design of a steel pipe bridge and equipment mezzanine.

City of Pasadena, CA Department of Water & Power

         Performed seismic vulnerability study of the existing primary structures at the Azusa Hydroelectric Plant. Constructed in 1948, the steel pipe penstock, 38 diameter by 558 feet long was one of the structures to be assessed.

         Ground supported on a 70% hillside slope by large concrete blocks, upper and lower and in between the anchor blocks are a total of (19) steel rocker arm supports; recommendations were made after study.

 

Clean Water Services of Oregon Forest Grove Wastewater Treatment Facility Liquid Steam Upgrade

         The upgrade was done to meet demand through 2025.  Major facility components required new headworks facility and an aeration basin in the wastewater treatment facility; responsible for structural design of Hypochlorite, Ferrous Chloride storage structure and grit basin structure.

 

 

 

 

Clean Water Coalition of Nevada System Conveyance & Operations Program (Reach 4)

         Directed the structural design for an access shaft below grade which was 47 feet in diameter and 135 feet deep of excavation with a 2-foot-thick concrete lining in which one of its purposes was to serve as an underground tunnel.

         Project was designed to convey highly treated effluent discharged from the Member Agencies City of North Las Vegas (CNLV), City of Las Vegas (CLV), Clark County Water Reclamation District (CCWRD), and City of Henderson (COH) to the Lake Mead area.

 

City of Phoenix, AZ Val Vista Water Treatment Plant GAC Implementation

         Provided structural design for a chlorine dioxide building (a masonry wall building with steel roof framing), evaporation pad (a concrete pad which supports a hypochlorite tank), and pipe supports.

 

Phoenix Park Gas Processor Limited, Phoenix, AZ Phase III Gas Processing Expansion

         Performed structural analysis and blast design of a new control room which was developed as a concrete structure and created to withstand explosion hazards.

 

City of Paso de Robles, CA Nacimiento Water Treatment Plant

         Maintained responsibility for the structural design of the treated water pump station building (masonry wall), along with resourcefully reviewing submittals and shop drawings.

 

 

BOK Center, Tulsa, OK Icon Wall

         Successfully completed the modeling, analyzing, and designing of a 500 ft. x 70 ft. curved glass wall outside of the BOK Center which was supported by vertical truss via use of SAP 2000.

 

Connecticut Center for Science Exploration Magic Carpet Roof

         Led innovative project efforts to create a roof in the shape of a flying carpet for the science-themed center.

         Responsible for all modeling, analyzing, and designing of the 300 ft. x 50 ft. steel-structured roof using SAP 2000.
