Since 1993, I have been successfully delivering quality direct administrative support to the Vice President of Ministry Resources and Director of Advancement as an integral member of Elim Christian Service s team, requiring a superior level of professionalism vital to maintaining confidentiality and positively representing the organization.
My broad scope of responsibilities have ranged from financial/expense and performance reporting, document production and multi-media written communications to accounting, switchboard operations, calendaring, and event coordination. I am further relied upon to contribute my advanced technology skills toward managing MS Office applications and our Raiser s Edge database system. I also heavily rely on my computer skills for wordprocessing, donor data and mailing list management and records keeping, and am proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. In this capacity, I have served as a liaison to the Women s Guild, which hosts the largest annual fundraiser, with direct responsibility for over $200K in donations.

While with Superior Engineering, 1987-1993, in addition to my CAD drafting responsibilities, I managed varied administrative activities, from reception to document/chart/records production using WordPerfect Quattro and Q&A. As a Secretary/Accounts Payable Clerk with Zandstar Fruit Company, in addition to general clerical/office functions, I demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices in managing accounts receivable/payable, general ledger and payment records as well as reviewing and collecting delinquent accounts.

With responsibility for all aspects of administrative operations at Elim Christian Services, I have clearly demonstrated the ability to strategically prioritize workflow and facilitate multiple tasks to meet operational objectives and stringent timelines. I effectively multi-task in managing everything from keyboarding/ wordprocessing, databases, expense and fundraising reporting, and document production to switchboard operations, filing, and incoming/outgoing mail.
For instance, concurrent with my regular responsibilities, I am responsible for providing quality training, coordination and leadership of our clerical support team. I also coordinate all training for our Data Management Department. Additionally, I am expected to manage varied special projects throughout the year while maintaining high performance levels in general responsibilities. I serve on the Festival Steering Committee, providing quality administrative support in scheduling and recording meetings, coordinating deliveries and controlling inventory for festival materials.
Simultaneous with my administrative responsibilities, I have successfully organized two annual golf outings for 10 consecutive years and an annual Dutch Festival since 1996. I have also coordinated 5K/10K runs for 3 years.
While my title was CAD Junior Draftsman during my employment with Superior Engineering, I also managed our office and reception operations, again clearly illustrating a talent for strategic planning and multitasking.

Over the course of my career, I have exhibited the ability to proactively work with staff, associates and clients both on an individual basis and in a teamwork setting. For instance, I am currently acting as Lead Person on a Custom Database Software Program Development Project, working closely with a software writer to create an innovative tool that will replace our current database software and substantially enhance operational efficiencies.
In a leadership capacity, I proactively direct and support our clerical team to maximize operational efficiency and productivity. In collaboration with our Vice President of Ministry Resources and Director of Advancement, I excel in a self-driven, independent capacity to provide quality administrative support while also actively interfacing with senior staff to achieve team goals.

As liaison to the Women s Guild, I am continually working in a team environment to facilitate our largest annual fundraiser. In support of multiple fundraising initiatives, I independently conduct research of agency funders/grant foundations to maximize donations. I also routinely work in consort with vendors and the public in support of our fundraisers and special events.
While a CAD Junior Draftsman, 1987-1993, I continually collaborated with electrical and mechanical designers to clearly define client needs and ensure delivery of quality service. Concurrently, I managed administrative activities, including high-volume phone communications, and interfaced with all departments in routing calls as well as delivering written messages. I had similar responsibilities as a Secretary with Zandstar Fruit Company, requiring that I consistently interact with and support all departments within the company.

I have made many positive contributions to my current employer in clearly identifying, troubleshooting and resolving problems to boost operational performance. As an example, I am responsible for troubleshooting any computer-related issues, playing a vital role in ensuring applications are operating at optimal levels in support of all aspects of our operations.
I have taken the personal initiative to address varied operational inefficiencies. Recognizing a need for better tracking of fundraising, I strategically developed and continue to maintain an efficient monthly tracking spreadsheet that has proven instrumental in gauging progress as well as decision making processes in determining effective activities to achieve our annual goals.
As a non-profit organization, it is critical that we operate within government guidelines. To ensure compliance with IRS regulations in receiving and processing donations, I resourcefully researched requirements and developed a comprehensive compliance handbook.
While working in Accounting with Zandstar Fruit Company, I was routinely troubleshooting and resolving customer billing and account issues. I continually monitored customer accounts to ensure currency and proactively worked with customers to address delinquencies and negotiate payments, playing a key role in controlling our financial risk and maximizing our available cash flow.
