As demonstrated, I have extensive experience in steering student government both as a teaching professional and previously as a student involved in campus activities.  Most recently I contributed two years toward running student government activities for Hernando High School concurrent with my teaching responsibilities.  Earlier, while attending Central Florida Community College, I was actively involved  in our Student Government Association (SGA); I was selected SGA Freshman Class Representative and I went on to serve as SGA President. 

 

My experience ranges from writing bi-laws and steering all clubs/organizations to coordinating and facilitating campus and community-affiliated activities and events.  I am highly effective in liaising with and supporting cross-functional campus administrators, strategically planning and managing events to optimize use of resources and meet objectives, building/leading top-performing teams, and consulting with/advising as well as motivating students.

 

Complementing this, I hold a BS in Biology as well as an AA in Liberal Arts.  I also offer teaching credentials including Florida Department of Teaching Certificate and varied advanced/ specialized certifications and endorsements.  Of note, I ve twice been nominated Teacher of the Year and previously earned the Principal s Award for Outstanding Teaching and Leadership.
