  Large Order Fulfillment:

  Manage/Lead Soarian Clinicals Suite Implementation with specialization in Orders, Results, and CPOE Projects and interface ancillary departments. Deployed to rescue complex, troubled accounts. Managed Soarian Software Deployment from initial software delivery through live implementation. Participated in product development, support for the sales cycle, mentoring new employees and developed internal education. Integration experience with McKesson, Meditech, Cerner, IBEX, Novius, Computrition, Softlab, CBORD, MUSE. 

 

         Urgent Care Department:

         Problem:  Increasing ED patient population and increasing ED wait times.

         Solution: Implement an off-site urgent care center.  Develop patient care/ daily management process, acquired/ordered equipment/medications needed, identified and satisfied all regulatory requirements, hired and managed staff, general management.

 

         Express Admission Unit:

         Problem: Physicians sending their patients to the Emergency Department for direct admission because ED performed diagnostics expeditiously.  Patients did not care for the back and forth and up and down movement associated with initial admission process and diagnostic testing.

         Solution: Express admission unit allowed physicians to admit patients to an area where assessments and diagnostics completed immediately. Interview of all stakeholders performed. A site visit to express admission unit occurred in Rockford, Illinois.  Set up and develop logistics and policies/ procedures. Educate physician staff regarding services and limitations.  Patients remained on the same floor as imaging until all diagnostics ordered were completed.

 

         Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Program:

         Problem:  Needs of the Sexual assault patient were not being met, police complained about inadequate evidence collection, DA complained about inadequate court testimony, and victim assistance agency felt that the emotional needs of their patients were not being met. After thorough investigation, it was determined that the average ED nurse performed this highly specialized exam on an average of once per year. 

         Solution: met with all stakeholders and identified all the issues involved.  Five nurses were certified in sexual assault forensic exams.  Evidence collection issues were addressed.  Police, DA, Victim assistance satisfaction improved.  Conviction rate increased.
