   Integral leader in this combination, metropolitan fire and EMS department with 450 employees and 50 volunteer members serving over 300,000 citizens. 

   Operating out of 21 Fire/EMS stations and 8 EMS stations responding to 32,000 incidents per year, with a $38MM annual operations budget.

 

2009-Present: Shift Commander in Emergency Operations

   Provide leadership and oversight for 4 Battalions and 128 career personnel overseeing all fire protection, emergency medical, hazardous materials, technical rescue, water rescue responses as well as public fire education.

   Ensure the maintenance of adequate staffing, performance management, safety, wellness, personnel training and development of all assigned personnel.

   Author specifications for Xxxxxx Fire and EMS fire apparatus.

   Provided key leadership for property acquisition and fire station construction for two fire stations.

   Initiated Regional Overhead Incident Management Team concept for Central Xxxxxx (2009).

   Currently serve as Program Manager Central Xxxxxx All Hazards Incident Management Team.

   Implemented quint concept for ladder trucks in CFEMS and Large Diameter Hose in CFEMS.

   Instrumental in implementing the use of Class A Foam in CFEMS and the first Thermal Imaging Program.

   Spearheaded the development of the Regional Technical Rescue Team Agreement with Henrico and Hanover.

   Authored Automatic Aid Agreement with City of Colonial Heights and enhanced the Automatic Aid Agreement with the City of Petersburg.

   Secured Regional Incident Management Team concept and grant request in 2009.

   Served on the Xxxxxx County Strategic Plan Revalidation Workgroup in 2009 and acted as Specialty Team Workgroup-Project Manager in 2008.

   Project Manager for Major Incident/Severe Weather Procedure and Overhead Incident Management Team (OHIMT) Procedure Project Manager since to 2004.

   Served as Technical Rescue Team-Team Leader from 1998 to 2004.
