For this leading telecommunications leader, over the past four+ years have led the Company public relations efforts, placing particular emphasis on working closely with government agencies, elected officials at the local, state and Federal levels as well as key public and third-party contacts. A major component of this has been to ensure Company policies are communicated clearly to government entities and legislators at all levels. Serve as Lobbyist focusing on Tennessee initiatives regarding various areas, including video franchising, pole attachment rates, telephony, general cable industry issues, and provide development, direction and media-related support for Company as well as local grass roots programs. Charged with oversight of 118 cable franchises with over 650,000 subscribers and conducted contract renewal negotiations for ten franchises, resulting in $450MM in revenues.
Interface with local outlets (NBC, CNN) regarding production of weekly Comcast Newsmakers series, booking more than 25 guests over one year, including high-profile Nashville celebrities such as Mayor Karl Dean. Managed programmer system participation of C-SPAN Book TV Bus//Campaign 2008 Bus, CNN Election Express Yourself Demonstration Trailer, Animal Planet Expo, Discovery Channel, MTV Rock the Vote Campaign and History Channel. Served as producer for Comcast regional Town Hall meetings which was broadcast to six states, representing over 900 Comcast management personnel.

Develop public service announcement (PSA ) scripts and manage production for cable system for charitable organizations, including Governor Bredesen s Books from Birth Foundation, entertainer Dolly Parton s Imagination Library and holidays messages for elected individuals from 15 local communities. Have oversight of $2.5MM in charitable contributions for in kind PSA sponsorships.
Play key role in variety of Comcast-affiliated charitable organizations such as Comcast Cares Day, the United Way Campaign and the Comcast Foundation. In 2008, aided annual United Way efforts, increasing participation by local employees 25% over 2007. Worked closely with local affiliates of ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX networks and the Tennessean newspaper to organize the 2007/2008 United Way Media Challenge Talent Show. For the 2009 Comcast Cares Day, brought in 850 volunteers to assist with a project for 74 Nashville elementary schools.

Project resulted in revenues of $7MM+. Oversaw 33 attorneys and paralegals, monitoring daily work output and coordinating assignments. Administratively, charged with responsibility for negotiating contracts with employment agencies, hiring employees, preparing performance evaluations and, when necessary, terminating underperforming individuals.
