RE: WIT position

I am extremely interested in being considered for a position with your C-IED WIT team, and am confident I possess the skills, knowledge, experience, and dedication to prove a valuable asset to your organization.  To acquaint you with my qualifications, I am submitting my resume for review.  In advance, thank you for your time.

As demonstrated, I offer an extensive military background in weapons intelligence, both practical and through training/education, that includes having excelled in operational theater settings and hostile environments  in support of critical security missions.  While Assistant Team Leader and Second in Command of a Weapons Intelligence Team, 2007 through December 2008, I have successfully steered and supported Task Force Troy (Counter-IED) initiatives and actively participated in 5 major named operations, providing combatant commanders with critical intelligence analysis and evidence collection.  For several months, I worked largely unsupervised and independently at Forward Operating Base Mahmudiyah, successfully facilitating numerous IED responses and collaboratively intercepting one high-profile assassination attempt. I also led team operations at Baghdad International Airport Area of Operations (AO) and forward deployed to Camp Sparrowhawk in response to major offensives into Amarrah.  As a result of our efforts, we were able to dispose of 50K pounds of munitions in 2008. From 2003-2007, I served as an Entity Analyst, again applying my expertise toward successfully supporting critical missions impacting national and global security. I currently hold Top Secret Clearance with Compartmentalized Information TS/SCI.

Additionally, I offer comprehensive on-the-job and specialized training.  While with the WIT, I gained valuable skills and proficiencies in diverse areas of WIT operations ranging from  Components and Construction of IEDs, Collection of Foreign Material/Evidence for Preserving Latent Prints, Crime Scene Documentation, Obtaining Known Records, Prints and Latent Print Processing, and General Concepts of Tactical Questioning to Courtroom Testimony, Post Blast Site Exploitation Procedures, Latent Print Analysis and Comparison Techniques, Detainee Packets and Materials Recognition.  To complement this, I am currently pursuing a degree through American Military University, majoring in Intelligence Studies, with a concentration in Special Operations/ Low Intensity Conflict, and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies, with a Certificate in Explosive Ordnance Disposal.

As a WIT member, will find me a driven professional dedicated to supporting your mission who is available and eager to work under any conditions worldwide to facilitate security. I am confident that I could be a valuable asset to your firm, and look forward to interviewing with you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Cole W. Pierce
